Shapewear will help you to look like you are in great shape.  Even if you are in great shape but want to look even better, shapewear will not disappoint you.  Do you want to be in great shape, rather than just looking like you are toned and thin?  Create a lifestyle that is conducive to a great looking, healthy body.

shape and fitnessReaching a healthy weight should not be about intense exercise and dieting for a few weeks or months.  It should be about maintaining a healthy life by eating well and remaining active throughout life.  You do not need to starve yourself or exercise your life away to be healthy.  In fact, you do not even need to be a teeny tiny size to be healthy and fit.  If you make healthful choices throughout life, the pounds on the scale are not that much of a worry (within reason of course).

Create a menu of well balanced meals at the beginning of each month.  Remember to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.  If you are picky about the fruits and vegetables that you eat, stock up on all the types that are your favorite.  Limit the amount of fatty foods you eat.  Fill up on chicken and fish (if you have no allergies to seafood).  Do not eat too much red meat and when you do purchase lean meat packages.

Try to take the time to eat at home as often as possible.  Take a Sunday afternoon to prepare some meals ahead.  Hearty and healthy soups make an excellent option for food that can be stored to eat later in the week.  Do not eat at fast food restaurants unless you are going to select from low fat, low sodium meals on the menu.  Pass up the high calories dressing if you buy a salad.  Avoid preparing highly processed foods when you are in a rush to prepare a meal at home.

Do not eat too many unhealthy snacks.  The occasional chip or piece of birthday cake is not going to hurt you.  Don’t make treats like those an everyday habit.  Snack on healthy foods like wheat crackers, carrots sticks and pretzels.  There are many foods that can curb the munchies without packing on the pounds.

Be active even if you are not an exercise guru.  You do not need to be an exercise fanatic to be healthy and fit.  It is not necessary to spend hours at the gym.  If you enjoy jogging or walking, you have already found an exercise that does not cost a dime.  You can walk or jog for 30 minutes (more if you want) a day, 3-4 times per week.  Remember to stretch and warm up before setting out for your walk or jog.  You should stretch to cool down at the end of your walk/run as well.

Purchase a couple aerobics videos.  There is no need to pay to join an aerobics class at a local gym or recreation center.  You can follow along to the videos at your own convenience.  You can exercise in the morning before work or in the evening after your day is through.  It is easy to keep pace with most aerobics video.

You can even perform strength training from home.  As a woman, you do not need a weight bench or heavy weights in order to tone your muscles and increase your strength.  You can purchase strength training bands at the sports department of your local department store or Super Center store.

Make it fun to be active.  Dance to your favorite music when you are at home.  If you have kids, get outside to run around with them.  Play catch while hanging out in the backyard.  Go to the park to play some sports. There are numerous way to get active without slaving at a gym.

Live a healthy life and set a good example for your family and friends.  Look great, feel great and be healthy throughout your life.
